The college is affiliated to the University of Calcutta and is approved by the Bar Council of India and the Department of Higher Education, Government of West Bengal.

The college is affiliated to 5-year Integrated Course in Law leading to B.A. LL.B. degree of the University of Calcutta. Besides the annual examination, the performance of each candidate will be assessed on the basis of participation in the class and mid-term tests. According to the rules and regulations framed by the University of Calcutta, minimum 70% attendance of the lectures delivered is mandatory for appearing in the University examination.
